IRC Log

17:30:48 <zere> hello, EWGers. last meeting minutes: http://www.osmfoundation.org/wiki/Working_Group_Minutes/EWG_2013-10-18 & please let me know if anything needs changing.
17:31:39 <zere> in the absence of any updates on existing actions (apologies from me, i still havent done mine), i'll throw the floor open for any topics people want to discuss.
17:35:55 <TomH> guess I should give a quick update on the status of the redesign...
17:36:17 <TomH> I started my review yesterday, and I'm still working on it now ;-)
17:36:39 <TomH> Mostly there's a lot of good stuff there - not just the visible stuff but internal cleanups and things as well
17:36:59 <TomH> I've fixed various minor things as I went, and those have been pushed to the osmlab repo
17:37:15 <TomH> and I've opened tickets in the osmlab tracker for other things, with the redesign label
17:37:38 <TomH> some of those at least I will look at once I've finished the review if john or aaron don't get to them first
17:39:55 <zere> awesome :-)
17:40:14 <zere> worth having something about it at the hack weekend, or will it likely all be sorted by then?
17:40:59 <TomH> well it would be good to get it merged by then if we can I think, so that anybody wanting to work on the site there can do so on top of the redesign
17:41:29 <TomH> I know emacsen for example is already working on something on top of it
17:41:47 <TomH> that he wants to pick my brains about on saturday
17:43:07 <zere> yup, he said something about having another go at changeset comments
17:43:51 <zere> might be good for DWG / general communication. especially given it'll be out in the open / not subject to privmsg style stalkerism & bad manners.
17:47:06 <shaunmcdonald> I need to working on updating blogs.osm.org, as it currently doesn't support HTTPS, and MapBox serve everything over HTTPS now. Hopefully I'll remember at the weekend.
17:52:12 <shaunmcdonald> zere: the Readme for code4osm.org does look better now, though I haven't tried it yet.
17:55:46 <zere> shaunmcdonald: cool. i'm looking for any way to improve it, so let me know if you have any ideas ;-)
17:56:20 <shaunmcdonald> zere: Get me to look at it at the hack weekend in London please
17:59:04 <zere> shaunmcdonald: will try to remember to not let you leave the room until you have ;-)
17:59:56 <TomH> yay... reached the end of the diff..
18:37:19 <zere> hmm... i guess we sort of petered out again. thanks for coming! see you next week :-)
