Local Chapters and Communities Working Group/Moderation Subcommittee: Difference between revisions

The OpenStreetMap Foundation (OSMF) Board [https://blog.openstreetmap.org/2020/12/11/message-from-osmf-board-chair-on-mailing-list-behavior/<nowiki> set out] to “find partners] to help instate a moderator team for the OSMF-talk and talk mailing lists”. In their December 2020 meeting, the OSMF Board requested that the LCCWG take the lead on this initiative and subsequently this group has been formed as a subcommittee of LCCWG. The Subcommittee is a temporary group of OSM community members. </nowiki>

Participation in this group has remained open to all that want to support our efforts. To further diversify our participation, there was a public [https://blog.openstreetmap.org/2021/04/05/call-for-participation-in-moderation-subcommittee/<nowiki> Call for Participation] in March/April 2021. The subcommittee meets regularly using Big Blue Button. We also have an active Telegram Group, which has 27 members. The subcommittee will continue to meet until the defined Scope of Work is completed.</nowiki>
