Payment Options

From OpenStreetMap Foundation

There are several options to transfer money to us. We have a UK bank account and also run a PayPal account. Depending one where you live (have a banking-account), the following options are available for you.

UK

  • UK Standing Order
  • UK Electronic Funds Transfer
  • Paypal

Generally, if you have a UK bank account it is best to make a standing order or electronic funds transfer to our bank account, we can also accept old-fashioned cheques if you can’t do it electronically.

Europe

  • SEPA bank transfer
  • Paypal

For payments to our PayPal account we are charged a flat fee of £0.20 plus 3.4% of the amount of the payment. Depending on what charges are incurred by your own bank related to SEPA transactions, a SEPA transaction may be the best option.

Rest of world

  • Paypal
  • International Bank Transfer

For payments to our PayPal account we are charged a flat fee of £0.20 plus 3.4% of the amount of the payment. In most cases this will be cheaper than making a payment directly to our bank account. Except for large amounts (over €250/$250), it is probably best to make the payment via PayPal although it does depend on what charges are incurred by your own bank.
