A meeting of the Engineering Working Group and GSoC mentors on 21th April 2017 via Mumble.

Topics

We requested minimum 5 and maximum 6 slots from Google, and we got six. We had six great students proposing, but one was split between two projects, and we had to let him go. Which leaves us with five.

Four were decided on, but mentors were divided on two students for the fifth project. They made their choice, and Peter updated the list on the GSoC website.

On 4th of May the students will be announced, and the Community Bonding period will start. That time will be devoted to mentor-student communication: nothing to talk here about. So the EWG will take on other tasks.
