Bid for Mute Users feature by Gregory Igelmund: https://github.com/grekko/ewg_bidding/tree/bid-for-user-mute-feature/projects/ability-to-mute-other-users/proposals/gregory_igelmund-08-09-2023

Gregory has been invited to this meeting by Andrew. After dicussing certain details the bid has been accepted with

  • a time estimation of 4 to 8 workdays of 8 hours each
  • an hourly rate of 85 EUR
  • a cutoff at 8 workdays to limit risk

Roland will be the point of contact for all paperwork. Tom and Andy will be the point of contact for all questions about the implementation.

A remark not interfering with the current bid: The usage shall be monitored at some point in the future to investigate whether the feature is used to unduely mute critism.

Microgrants

Salim announced that he will prepare templates on GitHub. We discuss this in light of the Open Platform Policy of the Foundation: The approach is experimental and as such shall be Ok with the Open Platform Policy.

Test Double

Adam volunteers to connect with Robert about handing over the TestDouble contact. Although Gregory's bid makes this less urgent, we are still interested if they are willing to work on the webstie's code to get development there up and running.

Vector tiles

There has been a prototype by Jochen for a minutely updated server to serve vectot tiles.

Pauls work is most likely coordinated with that, although we currently do not have explicit updates.

The attendees encourage Salim to ask Jochen for session at SotM-EU about vector tiles for the openstreetmap-website.
